Shoebox Packing Party

For our fall service project, we will once again be collecting donations for Operation Christmas Child, an organization that sends donated items to children in need around the world. We will be collecting donations to be packed in the shoe boxes through Friday, October 25. You can drop off your donation items in the bin by the front door. Check out this list of recommended items: Official Shoebox Gift Suggestions (samaritanspurse.org).

The service project will culminate on Friday, October 25, when we will pack the donated items into shoeboxes in preparation for being shipped internationally. The event will include dinner, a short talk from Janet Anglin about the organization, and plenty of opportunities to meet other JCAC students! Please RSVP so we can provide enough food.

This year, we are hosting the event a little closer to Halloween than Christmas, so we encourage participants to wear pajamas or appropriate holiday costumes!
