Hello
This is Kelsey Maloney-Steiner. She is a licensed therapist in Tennessee and also teaches ballet with JCAC.

We have invited her to host these seminars at JCAC at no cost to families because we believe in developing the whole student - physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
Mental Health Seminars (for Students)
Feb 18, 9:00-10:30 OR 10:30-12:00
Kelsey will lead a seminar with students covering an age-appropriate, high-level view of mental health. Attendees will learn about coping skills and strategies to build mental wellness, and cover topics such as body image, stress, depression, anxiety, building support systems, finding trusted adults, and what to do if you are concerned about a friend. Students in level 4 should attend the 9:00 - 10:30 seminar and students in levels 5-6 should attend the 10:30 - 12:00 seminar. We ask that parents not attend this seminar, but if you have any questions about topics that will be covered, you can email Kelsey at kelsey@journeycentercounseling.com.
Mental Health Seminars (for Parents)
Feb 25, 9:00-10:00
Parents of dance students in levels 4-6 are invited to a presentation led by Kelsey on how to recognize and support young dancers through some of the unique mental health challenges they may face. This conversation will follow-up on some of the topics addressed during last semester’s seminar, but you do not have to have attended the last seminar to attend this one.
