Act I

Young Cinderella lives a happy life with her loving parents amidst a field of fireflies and butterflies. Tragedy strikes, and she loses her mother and father. Grief, loneliness, and cruelty replace the love that was there.

1. Happy Childhood

Now older, Cinderella is treated like a servant by her stepmother and stepsisters. The stepsisters try ballet lessons and are scared by Cinderella's mice friends.

The town crier announces a royal ball to the public, at which Prince Charming shall choose a bride. The stepsisters and stepmother prepare for the ball and exclude Cinderella.

Cinderella cries in the garden and is consoled by her mice friends. Surrounded by fireflies, she feels the comforting presence of her loved ones beyond the grave.

The Winter and Spring Fairies teach Cinderella how the changing of seasons brings hope that love and light can grow out of darkness. The Summer and Autumn Fairies show Cinderella how to have some fun and celebrate as the seasons change with bright colors. All fairies bring Cinderella gifts to help her at the ball.

With a little magic and a touch of French "flare-y" dust, the Fairy Godmother designs a couture gown for Cinderella to wear to the ball.

Act II

Guests from around the land arrive at the Royal Ball. The stepsisters make an ungraceful entrance. The Prince is bored. When Cinderella arrives, she is enchanted by the scene and happy to feel like a real girl for the night. She catches the Prince's eye, and he asks her to dance.

1. The Royal Ball

The fairies watch over a happy Cinderella at the ball. Cinderella and the Prince escape the busy ball for a moment together under the moonlight. Cinderella realizes she is falling in love.

4. Setting the Scene

6. Midnight

Midnight arrives. Cinderella flees, pursued by the Prince, the Duke, and the royal guards. Cinderella returns home with nothing but a single glass slipper. The Prince has the matching shoe.

Cinderella's Stepmother discovers her secret. She shatters the remaining shoe and locks Cinderella in the attic.

7. Secret Discovered

The Prince declares that every maiden must try on the glass slipper. The maidens vie for the Prince's love and affection.

8. Search for the Maiden

Cinderella, hopeless, is locked in her attic surrounded by nothing but memories to renew her courage. Her mice friends bring her the key to the attic door. Meanwhile, the Stepmother and Stepsisters revel in the possibility of marrying the Prince. The Prince arrives for the sisters to try on the shoe.

10. Stepfamily Prepares for the Prince

Cinderella, having escaped the attic, arrives. The Prince recognizes her immediately and has her try on the shoe. It's a perfect fit! They have a happy reunion and the rest of the world begins to fade away.
