Costumes and Makeup
Costumes are always provided to your students by JCAC. Most costumes use the class uniform for the base, so it is important that students have properly-fitting pieces before it is time for show. (You can always check out class descriptions for the class uniforms!) We also recommend older students (levels 4-7) wear nude leotards to aid in backstage costume changes.

Makeup should be worn so students' faces are visible on stage. (Mascara, eye shadow, blush, and lipstick.) Natural tones are preferred. Makeup for preschoolers is up to parent discretion.

Jewelry should not be worn on stage. Necklaces, bracelets, watches, rings, and nail polish should be removed before the show. Small uncolored diamond or pearl stud earrings and clear nail polish are allowed.

Hair style will depend on the piece. Generally, hair should be fixed back out of the face, using hair pins and other hair products to prevent frizz and fly-aways. It's always a good idea to bring extra closed hair pins for any hair pieces provided.
