Clara's Tea Party

You are invited to a Nutcracker-themed tea party! Johnson City Arts Center's third annual "Clara's Tea" is a fun afternoon of tea, snacks, crafts, and an interactive live storytelling of the classic ballet, The Nutcracker.

Guests can enjoy a tasting of sweets inspired by the story with their choice of caffeinated or non-caffeinated tea, meet some of the characters, and create a Christmas craft. The event culminates in a live retelling, where our dancers perform bite-sized excerpts from the ballet and even invite guests to participate in some of the dancing!

This year, Clara's Tea Party will take place at Mountain Home Ballroom, which is located in the building next to us. Their elegant decor and large space makes it the ideal venue for Christmas, tea, and dancing.

​RSVP online to reserve your seat(s) by November 20. Tickets are $20 per seat, and can be paid by card, cash, or check at our front desk. This event is best suited for guests ages 3+, and parents, grandparents, and friends are also invited to attend. Because seating is limited, please notify us if your plans change, so we are able to open the spots for other guests.
