Dancer Mental Health Seminar

Kelsey Maloney-Steiner is a licensed therapist in Tennessee and taught ballet with JCAC. We have invited her to host these seminars at JCAC, at no cost to families, because we believe in developing the whole student - physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

Kelsey will lead a seminar with students covering an age-appropriate, high-level view of mental health. Attendees will learn about coping skills and strategies to build mental wellness, and cover topics such as body image, stress, depression, anxiety, building support systems, finding trusted adults, and what to do if you are concerned about a friend. 

We ask that parents and dance teachers not attend these seminars, but if you have any questions about topics that will be covered,  you can email Kelsey at kelsey@journeycentercounseling.com.
